I was a little intimidated by the game at first, as the very friendly Discord server users have – quite understandably – been at it since Spire first appeared. Then, in passing, the Magister’s Guide was mentioned, and everything just clicked from the very first page. This is an excellent resource for anyone looking to run Spire, or just to learn how to run narrative-first, player-advanced games – read page 50-52, then come back and agree with me.
