Are YOU a bad enough dude to illegally import seven rare breed criminal parrots on a redeye passenger flight?
Written in collaboration with Xalavier Nelson.
Everyone knows that the funniest crime – objectively – is smuggling rare birds across borders, so we decided to dramatise the high-stakes world of parrot trafficking into an easy-to-run roleplaying game.
In BIRD CRIMES you play a down-on-their-luck poacher who’s been roped into illegally importing seven rare breed parrots (who are also criminals) aboard a redeye passenger jet from JFK to Heathrow, and the birds keep escaping, and at one point they get hold of a gun and it’s really downhill from there on in.
One page games?
HERE’S THE DEAL: I write one tabletop or live roleplaying game a month. It will be no bigger than one side of A4 paper (that’s one side of letter paper, for you American types) and I will do all the art, layout and design myself in pen.
My games are, in general: short, punchy, well-written and exciting. Over the last six years of writing I’ve become more serious and less silly, so expect to see a mix of tones ranging from introspective and heart-breaking to daft and explosive. I’ll always strive to innovate and offer something original or surprising in each game.
