The Deep Apiarists are a sect of occultists who welcome extra-dimensional bees from the Heart – the red wet heaven that slumbers deep beneath the city of Spire – into their bodies. Their broken minds are rebuilt and reinforced with wax; their organs, weak and fallible, are replaced with hexagonal simulacra. Strengthened and emboldened, they strike out against the twisting energies of the Heart Itself and bring order where mind-warping chaos rules.
