Will you find a suitable husband? โ€‹Will you repel the French invaders? Will your eternity reactor leak and drive you and your sisters irrevocably mad, haunted my whispers from the dark between the stars? And – will you be late for the ball on Thursday eve?

One page games?

HERE’S THE DEAL: I write one tabletop or live roleplaying game a month. It will be no bigger than one side of A4 paper (that’s one side of letter paper, for you American types) and I will do all the art, layout and design myself in pen.

My games are, in general: short, punchy, well-written and exciting. Over the last six years of writing I’ve become more serious and less silly, so expect to see a mix of tones ranging from introspective and heart-breaking to daft and explosive. I’ll always strive to innovate and offer something original or surprising in each game.

    Our group played this and had a great time. I had to fill in a few gaps as GM and make things work, but the game prompts and character direction gave a delightful balance between high society, military action, and eldritch horror. The key for us was keeping the scope of action broad enough that both the French attack and the neighbor's recital could both be resolved in 3-4 turns of actions. The blind cards to determine actions leads to some nice chaos and underscores the need for coordination…
